A rare law nullifying any regulations introduced by New South Wales premier Mike Baird has come into effect as he recovers from a fractured vertebra.
The law, which states that the NSW premier must be “fit to take office” in order for his mandates to be upheld, means that for at least the next few weeks, Sydney-siders will be allowed to stay outside for as long as they like.
A Star Casino spokesperson said the business was doing “everything possible” to ensure a speedy recovery.
“We’re assembling a team of the finest doctors on earth to get Mike back into office. However, we know when to fold ‘em and if Mike’s out for too long, we’ll just have to find a replacement…
Maybe Eddie McGuire’s free.”
